It all started on a rainy day at the lake. Amazon had their Prime day sale. I purchased an Instant Pot with the encouragement of a friend. Super skeptical, and not sure if it really was to good to be true, I read the rave reviews posted online.
A multi cooker…excellent quality…no one had anything negative to say about it. Now I’m not a huge slow cooker fan and didn’t want to buy something that would end up just sitting on my counter and be buried in the basement eventually.
Now that I’ve used it, it is never going in the basement.
What Is the Instant Pot?
Instant Pot is a multi-cooker that does the job of a slow cooker, electric pressure cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, sauté/browning pan, and warming pot. This single appliance does the job of seven, and is definitely easier to clean.
The electric pressure cooker feature was the big draw for me. Safer to use than traditional pressure cookers, and easier too!
How I Use My Instant Pot
I typically use my Instant Pot as an electric pressure cooker. It has now replaced my slow cooker/crock pot, which will move on to be useful when making soap. It does an amazing job of cooking rice. I no longer make rice on the stove top. Ever.
This single appliance has made cooking faster and more convenient. I have totally fallen for my Instant Pot.
